Position: Physician Location: FayettevilleVA Healthcare System Key Responsibilities: Provide Board Certified/Board Eligible Anesthesiology Physician Services on site in accordance with the specifications contained herein to beneficiaries of the Department of Veteran Affairs. Responsible for providing pre-op, operative, and post-op care. Responsible for appropriately documenting all care per Providence VAHCS policy. Responsible for reporting to the facility within 30 minutes when on-call for airway emergencies. Provide project support to assist implementing staffing needs within the Providence VAHCS. Qualifications: Current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia Board Certified /Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) and be currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency. Continuing Medical Education (CME)/ Certified Education Unit (CEU) Requirements: Contractor shall provide the COR copies of current CMEs as required or requested by the VA facility. National Provider Identifier (NPI): NPI is a standard, unique 10-digit numeric identifier required by HIPAA. DEA: Contractor shall provide copy of current DEA certificate. Shift Available: 5 Shifts Per Week | 40 Scheduled Hours | 8:00am-4:30pm On-call contracted physician must be available for emergency airway management and emergent OR cases.
