Kenly Ford, Inc. is Hiring an Automotive/Diesel Technician Near Kenly, NC

Automotive Diesel Technicians needed to perform repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel vehicles. This entails inspecting, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing vehicle’s complex problems. Responsibilities range from high-level technology associated work to simple basic mechanical repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Testing to check whether systems and components are secure and are working properly.
  • Isolating the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
  • Driving the vehicle for testing purposes or using various equipment, including hand-held and onboard compression gauges or diagnostic computers.
  • Maintaining efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
  • Repairing or replacing worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.
  • Following a checklist in ensuring that, they examine each critical part of the vehicle.
  • Using hand tools, power tools like pneumatic wrenches and machine tools to perform maintenance and repairs.

Skills and Specifications

  • Ability to identify the problem quickly.
  • Good knowledge of automotive vehicles.
  • Effective analytical and communication skills.
  • Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
  • Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Education and Qualifications

Experience/Ford Certified technician preferred.

  • High school diploma and post high school training in automotive service technology or related field needed. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass pre-employment background and drug screening.
  • ONLY EXPERIENCED/QUALIFIED SHOULD APPLY

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
