Buckeye Forest of Rosemount is Hiring a Director of Rehabilitation Services (DOR) Near Portsmouth, OH

We are seeking a Director of Rehabilitation for Buckeye Forest of Rosemount in Portsmouth, OH. PT, OT, SLP, COTA, and PTA may apply. Management experience is preferred. Please reach out with any questions!

Job Duties Include:

· Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the rehabilitation services of the Facility.

· Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards of practice, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Administrator.

· Operationally manage Rehabilitation Department personnel and consultants within the Facility.

· Assume responsibility for the efficient and profitable management of rehabilitation services in the Facility.

· Assume responsibility for insuring that the Rehabilitation Department is compliant with all regulatory requirements.

· Review department policies and procedures, at least annually, and participate in making recommended changes.

· Consult with therapists and/or Regional Rehabilitation Director with all clinical assessment matters related to patients.

· Interview resident and families, as necessary, in a private setting.

· Refer resident and families to appropriate personnel, as needed, to meet resident and family needs.

· Involve residents and families in planning Facility rehabilitation programs.

· Assume responsibility for daily staffing and utilization with input from treating rehabilitation therapists, residents’ needs, and recommendations from the Administrator.

· Assume responsibility for hiring therapy staff in conjunction with the Administrator and Regional Director.

· Maintain a productive working relationship with the medical profession and other health related facilities and organizations.

· Review and evaluate the department’s work force and make recommendations to the Administrator.

· Coordinate rehabilitation services with other departments, as necessary.

· Work with the Facility’s rehabilitation consultants and implement recommended changes, as required.

· Delegate authority, responsibility, and accountability to other responsible department personnel.

· Make written and oral reports and recommendations to the Administrator concerning the operation of the Rehabilitation Department.

· Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.

· Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to employees, residents, visitors, government agencies, etc.

· Keep abreast of economic conditions and situations and recommend to the Administrator adjustments in rehabilitation services that assure the continued ability to provide such services.

· Review and develop a plan of correction for rehabilitation deficiencies noted during survey inspections and provide a written copy of such report to the Administrator.

· Review departmental complaints and grievances from personnel and make written reports to the Administrator of action(s) taken. Follow Facility’s established procedures.

· Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing quality assurance program for the Rehabilitation Department.

· Participate in Facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.

· Maintain a reference library of written material, laws, etc., necessary for complying with current standards and regulations and that will provide assistance in maintaining a quality rehabilitation program.

· Involve the resident and family in planning objectives and goals for the resident.

· Meet with administration, medical, and nursing staff, as well as other related departments in planning rehabilitation programs.

· Participate in the review and completion of appropriate resident assessment items, review of quality indicators, quality measures, survey results, appropriate to rehabilitation services and make necessary changes that correct identified or potential problem areas.

· Adhere to the company's time management expectations.
