Virtus Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a Level III medical center in Mt. Vernon, WA to find a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab RN for a 13-week contract position.

About the Opportunity:

This fast-paced role will provide you with the opportunity to contribute your expertise to a progressive medical center and directly impact patient care during critical cardiac procedures. You will work alongside a team of experienced professionals in a state-of-the-art Cath Lab environment.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-operatively assess patients, obtain informed consent, and provide patient education
• Assist the Cath Lab team with sterile preparation and draping
• Circulate during cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring equipment is readily available
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and ECG readings
• Administer medications (including conscious sedation) as prescribed by the physician
• Document procedures accurately and efficiently
• Respond to emergencies and participate in code blue events
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure adherence to infection control protocols
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Washington
• BLS certification (current)
• ACLS certification (current)
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab Unit
• Experience with conscious sedation and circulating cases
• Strong sterile technique and aseptic practices
• Excellent critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• BS in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Schedule:

• 13-week contract assignment
• 40 hours per week (4 x 10-hour shifts)
• Schedule: 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM
