After Care Teacher Position at Buntyn Preschool

Buntyn Presbyterian Congregation & Preschool is the hidden gem preschool of Memphis! We have an opening for an after care teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.

Terms and Conditions:

• Hours: Negotiable, we can work around your schedule. Start and end times are negotiable but after care is from 2:15-5:30pm. Days negotiable.
• Compensation: $18.00-$21.00/hour commensurate with education and experience
• Supervisor: This position is a direct report to the Preschool Director, Sarah Bennett. The Preschool Director reports to the Session of Buntyn Presbyterian Church.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect, cooperation, and a love for learning.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment. Ensure the well-being and security of all children in your care, following health and safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and licensing regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility to adapt to children’s needs.
• Dedication to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Pay: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
