Bitro Group is Hiring an Assembly Technician for LED Illuminated Letters/Art Near Hackensack, NJ

Background

Bitro Group manufactures high-performance LED lighting systems for signage, wayfinding, and other luminous branded elements. We have a specialty fabrication unit dedicated to producing low-profile trimless illuminated letters.

We're looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to work with our Vecto production team. If you are someone that enjoys working with your hands, have an eye for aesthetics & quality craftsmanship, and enjoy working with others, this job may be for you!

Description

You will be working with our production/assembly team to produce high-end lighting and display products. The work will involve fitting, fastening, gluing, spraying, cutting, finishing, and packing.

Responsibilities:

● Produce finished LED illuminated letters/art by assembling parts and subassemblies.

● Interpret shop drawings to assembly instructions.

● Prepare work to be accomplished by verifying components, subassemblies, tools, and materials.

● Use various hand tools to assemble parts.

● Conduct quality control/color checks.

● Clean & maintain work area and equipment, including tools.

● Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.

● Verify build by conducting final bench tests for product integrity and functionality.

● Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

● Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

● Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Requirements

● Experience in manufacturing environments, preferably in assembly.

● United States Citizen or Permanent Resident is required.

● HS degree, or technical Trade School Certificate.

● Strong basic communication skills.

● Ability to interpret technical drawings that detail product specification.

● Hand-on Capacity is a must, as well as a knowledge of tools.

● Organizational skills and teamwork are a must.

● Ability to troubleshoot/problem solve.

● Excellent hand coordination & dexterity (previous fabrication experience a plus)

● Ability to learn new skills and attention to detail

● Understanding of aesthetics and quality

● Fulfill production/work orders

● Manufacture products according to specification and quality standards

● Ensure that everything that goes out looks great and is free of defects/problems

● Properly package products for safe shipping to avoid damage in transit to customer.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust and focus.

Wonderlic Assessment (IMPORTANT)

Applications will not be considered without a completed 3-part Wonderlic assessment. The Wonderlic assessment has proven to be a key indicator of fit, so it's important to complete it in full.

There are 3 sections. The first is the cognitive with problem-solving questions. You may use scrap paper for this section. The best practice is to complete as many questions as you can within the allotted time without getting stuck for too long on any one question. The final two sections are simple survey questions about yourself. It's important to answer as honestly as possible for accurate results. For best results, be sure to take it in an environment where you can concentrate.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
