The painter is responsible for the daily painting activities within the plant which include surface cleaning, prep, sanding, taping surfaces, disassemble and reassemble equipment being painted. This position may assist with loading and unloading freight, supplies and machinery as needed.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Adhere to company policies and safety requirements.
• Set-up and operate air and airless industrial painting systems.
• Read work logs, product processing sheets and specification sheets to verify that adhere to quality assurance specifications.
• Prep surfaces for primer and paint
• Apply and remove masking tape from equipment and components as needed for process.
• Have understanding and knowledge of the proper use, of body filler, epoxy filler and chalk.
• Utilize industrial cleaners for surface prep.
• Sand and prime surfaces as needed for painting.
• Operate large equipment such as overhead cranes and fork lifts
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• 2 years experience in industrial painting
• Painting experience with large, intricate equipment
