Animal Care Hospital of Phoenix is Hiring a Veterinary Technician Near Phoenix, AZ

Job Description

Job Description

We are seeking a full time veterinary assistant who is friendly, compassionate, and loves working with all of our animal friends, as well as their owners. Animal Care Hospital of Phoenix (ACH) has provided high-quality veterinary care and friendly client service since 1964, and we are looking for a VetTech who can help us carry on our outstanding reputation..
Our guiding principle – to provide the majority of a pet’s health care needs “under one roof” – has led ACH to continue invest in good people, training, and up-to-date equipment. As a result, we are able to confidently treat a wider range of medical and surgical cases than most general practices. This ability to treat challenging cases in-house has earned ACH a large base of loyal clients who want a high standard of care for their pets, in a friendly family practice they trust. In addition, we have onsite boarding and grooming.
Our predominately small animal hospital is a very progressive, community-oriented practice - and we've recently renovated the entire hospital! Our staff members are skilled, dedicated, and caring, and our talented veterinarian brings all of his experience and resources to provide medical and surgical treatment to our patients.

ACH offers competitive pay and other benefits, such as: health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), vacation/sick time, and employee pet discounts.
Responsibilities:

  • Care for pet animals, including administering medications, setting up equipment and diagnostic machines, giving injections, performing tests to assess the state of the animal's health, and other duties as required.
  • Administer medications to animals.
  • Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures.
  • Monitor and care for small mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and farm animals.
  • Perform lab tests to diagnose ailments.
  • Keep detailed medical records on all patients.
  • Conduct routine medical procedures such as administering vaccines and drawing blood from animals.
