The resort is also home to an award-winning par-3 course, Bandon Preserve. A second par-3 course, Shorty's, will open in 2024. Your Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directly supervise the daily production of all food for assigned outlets.
• Collaborate with the Chef on inventories, pricing, and cost controls.
• Assume full responsibility for the kitchen in the Chef's absence.
• Manage kitchen staff, including training, work planning, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.
• Assist in menu planning and maintain high standards of food quality.
• Control food and payroll costs for profitability.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend maintenance.
• Prepare reports and perform administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of culinary experience, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
• State-certified and Serve Safe certified.
• Demonstrated experience in staff management and food control.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems under pressure.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
• Retrieve, read, and interpret technical information.

Physical Requirements:

• Read and write (English).
• Communicate verbally with staff and customers.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Visually inspect work areas.
• Operate kitchen equipment.
• Lift to 50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Primarily indoor work with some outdoor service.
• Exposure to sharp utensils, hot stoves, and potentially dangerous chemicals.
• May encounter inclement weather and other hazards.
