Electro Design Engineering, Inc. (EDE) is ready to offer you an opportunity to join our growing team in Tampa, Florida!

EDE is an electrical contractor with engineering and automation arms also. 

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager, to undertake all aspects of financial management.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Payroll, Bank Reconcilliation 
• Manage a team of 7 (5 in house, 2 remote)
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional duties as necessary

Requirements and skills

• Proven working experience 
• 5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience with creating financial statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Details of Schedule:

• Full-Time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

• Occasional Flexibility of Schedule may be Required or Allowed
