Sales Support Representative

Establish and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective customers through preparation of quotes and providing technical support to best service J.R. Merritt Controls’ clients.

Duties:

• Prepare and send quotations for J.R. Merritt products to customers; communicate with customers as needed to clarify and identify their needs prior to quotation
• Display strong verbal and written communication skills by facilitating inbound calls and email inquiries from customers and providing excellent technical product support
• Provide internal support to the Outside Sales Team through collaboration with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Production
• Support the Customer Service team with inbound inquiries including, but not limited to order status, shipping information, and change requests
• Use strong organizational skills and professional demeanor to prioritize customer requests and concerns
• Maintain and update product configurations per customer design requirements
• Ensure JRMC databases contain up-to-date account and contact information
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of sales / customer service experience
• Technical capacity to learn electro-mechanical product line
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and organized with strong problem-solving skills
• Advanced computer skills
• HS diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in manufacturing industry
• 3 years of inside sales and/or customer service experience
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field
