We are seeking a Medical Assistant Receptionist to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly. This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday 7:15AM-3:45PM. FREE Parking!

Responsibilities:

• Handle all administrative duties in a timely manner
• Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff
• Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
• Prepare patients and maintain charts in EPIC
• Prepare rooms for the providers
• Check and enter vitals in EPIC
• Check patients in and out during office days
• Answer phone calls and transcribe message to physicians
• Schedule appointments and tests for patients.
• Verify and review allergies, medications, medical history, and social history with patients
• Prepare patients for office visits and/or pre-op patients for procedures
• Assist nurses and patients during the stages of procedures and post op
• Assist physician with office based procedures
• Sterilize and prepare medical tools and equipment
• Obtain anticoagulant holds prior to procedures and relay instructions to patients
• Transmit messages to nursing staff or physician through EPIC
• Stock the office and procedure areas with medical supplies
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment

​ Qualifications:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration or other related fields
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with EPIC or other electronic medical records preferred
• Certification preferred, other applicants may be considered
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Reliable Transportation
