We are an established agriculture company seeking a highly experienced, versatile, advanced level bookkeeper/accounting person with 5 years experience with strong knowledge of management of accounting practices, as well as administrative duties, who enjoys multi – tasking in a busy environment.
Applicants must have experience with all aspects of bookkeeping/accounting and proficient of software knowledge in Word, Excel and QuickBooks programs. Also, familiarity with agricultural accounting, cost accounting operations is a plus.
In addition, applicants must possess an exceptional work ethic – dedicated, trustworthy and reliable.
To be considered the applicant should be able to perform these responsibilities and have experience but not limited to the following:
Proven experience in agriculture accounting
Able to prioritize and multitask while maintaining accuracy, detail and meeting established
deadlines – extremely important.
Maintain current established controls set in place to ensure accuracy.
Daily input of accounting tasks in QuickBooks for A/P, A/R and Sales.
Process all A/P and A/R documents.
Process portions of Payroll weekly and input entries into QuickBooks and related files.
Input all weekly journal entries as well as year end process coordinated with CPA firm.
Help with collections as needed.
Maintain accurate daily records and logs with audit trails maintained for review.
Investigate and resolve any irregularities.
Work with Management to research pricing on commonly purchased items to reduce costs.
Maintain and order as needed supplies for the office as well as Managements request following approval.
Upload and maintain State and County license and permit renewals in a timely manner to
ensure current regulatory compliance.
Ability to maintain weekly and monthly reporting to management of Sales and or Costs for
financial reviews.
Ability to take on special projects while continuing with normal daily responsibilities.
Review and analyze Profit and Loss reports for accuracy and cost saving measures.
Maintain all files on vehicles and process registrations.
Review, monitor and reconcile bank accounts.
English / Spanish is a plus but not a requirement.
Full Time Monday - Friday. Salary range is negotiable and based upon experience
