Job Title: Behavioral Health Direct Staff

Location: Level 5 Foster Home Facility

Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Shifts: Weekend Shifts (3pm-11:30pm, 8pm-8am)

Schedule: Mon - Fri and Rotating Weekends

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Education/Experience: ONE of the following:

  • At least one year of full-time experience working in a formal program with the type of child population served by the Level 5 foster home where the applicant is applying for employment.
  • A bachelor or associates degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Sociology, Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, Guidance, Criminal Justice, Nursing, CNA, Education, or any other health or human service related field.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited college with a major in a field specified above.
  • Certification as a child and youth care worker under the standards of the Wisconsin ACYCP or other department-recognized certifying authority.
  • Completion of a training program in which the program staff works with a qualified experienced program staff for at least the first 120 hours of employment before working independently with the child

Responsibilities:

  • Provide behavioral health support to a high-behavioral youth in a Level 5 Foster Home setting. This position helps to assist and provide a homelike environment to the client.
  • Work closely with other team members to create a safe and supportive environment.
  • Implement and monitor behavioral intervention plans. Supporting clients in activities of daily living that can include assistance with meal planning, prepping, serving and storage of nutritious meals. Ensuring the client is maintaining proper personal hygiene, dressed appropriately, ensuring the house is always clean.
  • Document and communicate observations and progress. Maintain accurate and confidential client records. Ensuring medication regime and compliance as recommended by their physician.
  • Implement evidence-based interventions to address behavioral and emotional issues

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
