PVUMC Preschool is a non-profit in Paradise Valley, AZ. We are professional, creative, collaborative and our goal is to provide quality early childhood education to children ages 2-5.

We are a play-based preschool looking for motivated, creative, and hard-working individuals who have a love for children.

Preschool Teacher Position :

The ideal candidate :

• Is a patient, loving, kind, understanding, and gentle individual that has a love of working with children.
• Has a minimum of 6 months-1 year of experience working with children in early childhood environments.
• Has a basic knowledge of the AZDHS childcare rules and regulations.
• Displays the ability to communicate appropriately both verbally and in written form with parents and fellow teachers.
• Available to work contract hours beginning at 7 : 30 am and ending at 12 : 30 pm, Monday-Friday. Schedule is nonnegotiable.
• Can implement lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum,
• Create a welcoming and safe environment for all children and co-teachers
• Attend staff meetings and complete all necessary in-service hours as required by AZDHS.
• Rainbow Room aides will be working with children ages 12-30 months. A desire to work with our youngest children is a requirement.
• This is a part time position with hours ranging from 7 : 30-12 : 30, with potential until 1 : 30. Please note these hours when considering applying.

Position Requirements :

• Must be 18 years old
• High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in early childcare
• Preferred : CDA, AA, BA or master’s in early childhood or Elementary Education
• CPR and First Aid training required
• Fingerprint clearance card required
• Currently live within 10-15 miles of PVUMC Preschool
