Urbanik Surfaces is Hiring a Project and Logistics Coordinator Near Miami, FL

We are a growing luxury boutique in Miami's Design District, known for our expertise in creating beautiful spaces. Currently, we're hiring an Logistics Coordinator to support our operations. We're seeking someone highly organized, fluent in English and Spanish, and dedicated to excellent customer service. If you're a motivated and proactive professional.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 1 year specifically in construction-related roles.
  • Strong customer service skills, including excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication.
  • A basic understanding of international freight is desired.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
  • Proficient in multitasking and task prioritization without direct guidance.
  • Self-reliant and capable of working independently, knowing when to escalate issues.
  • Working knowledge of the Windows operating system and proficiency in Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Job Description

  • Coordinate with clients to schedule installations, gather project requirements, and address any questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to allocate resources, schedule labor, and ensure the timely delivery of materials for each project.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project requirements, verify measurements, and identify any potential challenges or constraints.
  • Communicate project timelines, requirements, and expectations to installation teams, ensuring that all parties are well-informed and aligned.
  • Monitor project progress.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Conduct quality inspections throughout the installation process to ensure that workmanship meets company standards and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and external vendors as needed to supplement installation teams or procure specialized materials.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and installation records.

Additionally:

  • Efficiently track and follow up on purchase orders with vendors for timely pickups and deliveries.
  • Manage overseas communication with factories and freight forwarders for materials importation.
  • Request price quotes from two freight forwarders for cost-effective ocean and air freight services based on specific needs.
  • Physically receive and verify materials at the warehouse, reporting discrepancies to vendors and the accounting department.
  • Maintain detailed records of warehouse activities, including inventory movements and client deliveries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
