Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing generators for our valued customers. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems will be essential in ensuring the reliability and performance of our customers' power solutions.
Duties:
- Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers' generators (including DC & AC Voltage equipment).
- Conduct installation and preventative maintenance on generators.
- Work with both residential and commercial buildings.
- Participate in the installation and hook-up of home standby generators and clean energy products.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and malfunctions.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Test electrical circuits and components for continuity.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions.
- Keep accurate records of work performed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Generator Technician or similar role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Extensive knowledge of various types of electrical networks.
- Experience running gas lines for Natural Gas & LP systems (1/2” to 2” pipe).
- Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manuals.
- High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs. frequently.
- Field service experience is preferred.
