Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring high-quality products and excellent customer service.

Duties:

- Assist in preparing bakery items such as bread, pastries, and cakes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area
- Serve customers with a friendly and helpful attitude
- Operate bakery equipment under supervision
- Package and label bakery products for sale
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines
- Upsell bakery items to increase sales

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a bakery, grocery store, or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and kitchen procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and measuring ingredients
- Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
