Job Summary:
The Lead Surgical Technologist, accepts overall responsibility for a designated surgical space, and will facilitate the safe and effective completion of invasive surgical procedures. This position will ensure all equipment, supplies, and instruments are available and operational, accurate, and organized. The Lead Surgical Technologist must be certified and will train and mentor other staff and serve as a role model.
Education:
High School education or equivalent.
Individuals employed to be Surgical Technologist must have completed one of the following educational requirements:
Experience:
Required: 1 year or more in a Surgical Tech position
Preferred:
Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration
Required: BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
Required: CST (Certified Surgical Tech)
