Job Details :
Schedule : Part-time, Full-time, 24 / 7; PRN (Flexible schedules!)
Base Pay : From $12 / hour
Driving Requirement : Willing to drive at least 30 minutes to clients' home.
A Caregiver / PCA duties :
- Personal care - showering, bathing, dressing, bathroom assistance
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication
- Assist clients with walking, mobility
- Accompany clients to doctor’s appointments, store etc.
- Plan and prepare meals
- Transfers if needed (bed to wheelchair, hoyer lifts, etc.)
- Alzheimer / Dementia care
- Errands such as shopping or accompany clients on shopping trips
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or Equivalent-preferred
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Driver license
- Auto Insurance
- Two professional references required
- Must be able to pass background check
- Must be able to pass a drug screening
- BLS / CPR
Caregiving experience is not required, but is helpful (private in-home care, assisted living, LTC facilities, etc.). You should have a solid work history with demonstrated reliability, good communications skills, and a caring personality.
Each of our clients is special and unique, but typical tasks are listed above.
