Job Description

Please be advised this is a part-time job (20 - 35 hours per week) with an hourly wage at the moment. However, as the patient-base continues to grow and/or more responsibilities are required, you will have the opportunity to add additional hours.

This position requires weekend availability; each weekend you will be responsible for a half-day shift (usually 8:30am to 2pm).

You will part of a team overseeing the general growth and care of the patients in Foundation Medical Group's addiction recovery treatment program.

During hours that the office is open for appointments you will ensure that a high level of care and communication is provided to our patients (outside of the evaluations and treatment provided by our physicians). We are looking for an extroverted candidate who is kind and empathetic to the individual needs and circumstances of patients, as well as dependable and professional in the application of clinical procedures and policy.

Responsibilities (please note these can vary each day based on need)

~Medical Practice Administration: clinical upkeep, record keeping, workplace sanitation, and work closely with the doctors to assure the clinic rules and regulations are being followed properly.

~Medical billing (additional training will be provided)

~Schedule Management: (re)scheduling both new and existing patients, and coordinating appointment availability for new and existing patients with our current physicians.

~Basic Finance Management: collecting the appropriate fee-for-care before each appointment, and tracking payments made daily via pre-prepared spreadsheets.

~Insurance Coordination: prompt submission of the appropriate prior authorization forms to a patient's insurance company for newly prescribed medication(s), as well as keeping insurance information updated for active patients.

~Clinical Reporting: accurate tracking of patient base metrics and financial transactions on a weekly and monthly schedules.

~Conducting routine tests

~Work directly under our Practice Director for specific duties needed

Qualifications:

~APPLICANTS MUST BE OUTGOING AND SELF-DRIVEN, and they must have an aptitude for the business aspects of healthcare services.

~Flexible Schedule: the ideal candidate should be able to transition between a part-time and full-time schedule as the patient-base grows.

~Experience in an Administrative/Medical office position is preferred

~Experience in Medical Billing strongly preferred
