DESCRIPTION

This HSE Regional Manager position will cover district locations in S. TX, Eagle ford, East Texas, N. Louisiana and S. Louisiana. This position will be responsible for ensuring that HSE compliance is maintained, safety meetings performed, as well as act as a resource for managers and field employees in the areas of operation.

Regional HSE Manager Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Act as a consultant for safety, health, and environmental issues for areas of responsibility;
• Assists in development and implementation of all required HSE processes and documents;
• Present and record successful completion of mandatory safety training to keep all regional employees up to date on all aspects of safety specific to our industry;
• Conducts accident, incident, and near-miss investigations specific to the Region;
• Liaises with Corporate HSE Compliance and external agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory issues relevant to our industry;
• Validate and respond to customer requirements, RFP's, and support customer audits;
• Fosters communication and sharing of best practices and solutions to specific HSE issues;
• Partners with management to provide technical advice to define strategies and create HSE plans;
• Establish relationship with Management and Employees to address continuous improvement opportunities of their safety culture;
• Establish safety supply vendors and provide safety supplies for all areas within region;
• Establishes site-specific HSE plans, as needed, within assigned area;
• Ensures adequate supply of PPE and enforces proper and required use among all employees;
• Conduct in-person regular training on proper equipment usage in respective region(s);
• Hosts monthly safety meetings for respective region;
• Provides technical expertise and support as needed to address HSE issues impacting our business;
• Performs site HSE visits and audits at facilities and on Aegis employees working on customer locations;
• Promotes and enforces safety programs and work rules;
• Conducts HSE Compliance audits;
• Liaises and coordinates with facility contractors;
• Hazardous/Non-Hazardous Waste Management.
• Perform Smith Systems Driver Training for new-hires.

Requirements

• 5 years minimum experience in planning, development, and execution of HSE related activities.
• 3 to 4 years HSE program management experience in an oilfield chemical services company is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in HSE, Chemical, or Engineering related fields preferred. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
• Safety and Environmental Certifications preferred.
• Over 50% travel required.

This role reports directly to the Corporate HSE Director.
