Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm appointments using medical scheduling systems
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or fees
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and provide excellent patient service
- Manage front desk operations, including managing waiting areas and maintaining cleanliness
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role
- Proficiency in using medical office software systems such as Eaglesoft, Epic, or other similar systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
