Sudina Search is Hiring a Cost Accountant / Analyst Near Hanover, MD

Are you ready to take the reins in making a significant impact on an organization's success? Our prominent BWI area manufacturing client is seeking a talented and experienced cost analyst to oversee all accounting functions for a plant site.
Position Overview: As a Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in manufacturing operations by providing insightful financial reporting and analysis, accounting records maintanence, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, and more. You will work closely with the plant management team to optimize cost efficiencies, monitor financial performance, and support decision-making processes that drive profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide financial information to management for month end and annual close and reporting
  • Analyze, monitor, and report manufacturing costs and variances for planning and projections
  • Maintain AR and and process billing, along with support for AP and payroll
  • Deliver financial analysis and help guide capital investments
  • Assist with annual audit and tax preparation
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • At least five years of experience in accounting and/or finance
  • At least two years of experience as a Cost Analyst, Cost Accountant, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship and have U.S. citizen status
