As a Senior Engineer, you will be pivotal in developing and executing key technology components for a Self-Service Portal. This portal is part of a critical program driving our growth strategy. This multi-year transformation program is focused on delivering a comprehensive suite of offerings to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with solution architects, cross-functional stakeholders, and development team members to define, design, and deliver technical solutions.
• Implement functionality across multiple workstreams.
• Transform conceptual thoughts into actionable technical solutions.
• Work with product owners and business partners in accounting, finance, investment, actuaries, and operations to understand business requirements and develop Annuity products.

Experience Required:

• 7 years of development experience with modern Java-based technologies such as Spring Boot, Microservices, and Kubernetes.
• 7 years of experience in the design and development of databases, specifically Oracle.
• Proficiency in programming with Java.
• Preferred experience with the Transcend system.
• Experience with Agile development methodology.
• Open mindset for continuous improvement and alignment with business initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with Java 11, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, OAuth 2, and OIDC.
• Experience with Restful API development and cloud-native technologies, including microservice architecture and patterns.
• Proficiency with cloud technologies such as AWS, Docker, ECS/EKS, and observability tools.
• Experience with source control and development workflows: Bitbucket, Git, Maven.
• Proven ability to lead projects that span multiple teams and deliver on time in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a solid understanding of coding aesthetics and the ability to review code and provide suggestions.
• Excellent presentation and collaboration skills, with the ability to clearly articulate job requirements and create formal documents.
