Responsibilities:
Physical Needs and Daily Living:
1. Hygiene: assure each resident maintains a clean appearance. Assist with oral care, face wash, shaving, hair grooming. Bathe patient daily. Ensure resident is dressed appropriately according to weather.
2. Medications: deal with one resident at a time. Provide medications as outlined on each individual’s orders. Make sure the medicine sheet matches orders, sign medication sheet daily. Black ink only.
3. Dietary: prepare and service meals that meet that daily nutritional and special dietary needs of each resident. Follow guidelines as provided in menu. Complete substitute forms when needed.
4. Laundry: complete laundry and iron individual’s clothing. Wash towels and linens.
5. Clean home daily.
Emotional Needs:
1. Acceptance, safety, support, trust. Sit and talk with resident to provide comfort. Encourage the use of social greetings and exchanges.
A. Med sheets- assist with medicine daily
B. Service logs- daily
C. Residential goals- daily
D. BT plan- daily
E. Incident reports – as necessary
F. Sign in/out sheets for visitors- daily
G. Call logs- as necessary
