energyRe is Hiring a Development Analyst Near Indianapolis, IN

Summary
energyRe is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Development Analyst to join our team. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Development, the Development Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting various aspects of project development, including stakeholder engagement, community outreach, project documentation, and M&A project reviews. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating meetings, organizing project materials, maintaining records, and providing valuable support to ensure the successful execution of energyRe's renewable energy projects.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Lead meetings with potential and current project landowners to discuss project details, address concerns, and facilitate negotiations.
  • Spearhead project neighbor campaigns to educate local communities about energyRe's projects, coordinating outreach efforts and materials.
  • Assist with community engagement efforts to garner local support for renewable energy projects, liaising with community members and organizing events as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create project collateral, including informational materials and presentations, and review/audit project studies for accuracy and completeness.
  • Support the development team with the review of M&A projects, conducting research, gathering data, and providing administrative support as needed.
  • Maintain project files and records using Smartsheet and Box data rooms, ensuring documentation is organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to track deadlines and complete project objectives, communicating effectively to ensure alignment and progress.
  • Organize materials and provide status updates from the Development team on projects and portfolios, facilitating clear communication and transparency.
  • Manage inbound documents in coordination with the rest of the development team, ensuring timely review, distribution, and filing.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Development, contributing to the overall success of energyRe's projects and initiatives.

Requirements
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Environmental Science, Communication, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Required Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project coordination, administrative support, or related fields.
Other Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead meetings, engage with stakeholders, and convey information clearly.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as Smartsheet and document management platforms like Box.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating adaptability and teamwork.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy industry trends and regulations is a plus.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for project meetings, site visits, and community events.
Physical Requirements
The Development Analyst may be required to endure the following physical activities, environmental conditions, and physical demands, such as:
  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods,
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another,
  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions,
  • Repeating motions that many include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, and
  • May need to climb terrain, drive vehicles, and/or walk long distances outdoors.
