Christ's Church Camden is Hiring an Office Administrator Near Kingsland, GA

Job Summary: This key position provides full administrative support for the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor, finance/accounting support for the Business Office, as well as management of church office administrative systems. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Areas of focus include, but are not limited to: 

Church & Office Administration 

  • Provide administrative support for Directional Team meetings, retreats and other events (e.g., note taking at team meetings, tracking action items and next steps). 
  • Create and lead the “Fun & Nonsense” committee in concert with the Worship Arts Production Manager
  • Event planning for varied church and elder-led gatherings, monthly all staff meetings and lunches, team-building activities, and retreats (e.g., communication, organizing catering, décor, preparing meeting materials, etc.) 
  • Mentor and encourage administrative staff. 
  • Oversee the weekday operation of the church office. 
  • Customer service via phone, email, and in-person interaction with staff, congregants, and the community
  • Oversee the church calendar. 
  • Administer facility insurance requirements. 
  • Together with Executive Pastor recommend, administer and update general church policies and procedures. 
  • Assist the Executive Pastor in administering all facets of the operation of the church as needed. 
  • Participate in training experiences that will lead to professional growth. 
  • Support the Lead Pastor in Churchwide events, sermon slides, Calendar management, scheduling appointments and travel arrangements. 
  • Administrative and creative input on preparing communications, ministry program and planning materials, and correspondence
  • Report transactions and maintain financial records for check requests, mileage reimbursement and credit card reconciliation 
  • Make designated church deposits and record bank deposits 
  • Monthly reconciliation of church-issued credit card purchases for LP, XP and Business Office. 
  • Budget management within area of oversight
  • Maintain the physical office condition and arrange necessary repairs 
  • Office equipment maintenance (e.g., printers, copiers, binders, folders, etc.)
  • Office supply upkeep (e.g., paper, envelopes, toner, office supplies, etc.)
  • Procurement and purchase ordering for ministry programs as needed (e.g., ordering through church accounts, Amazon, Sam’s Club, etc.)
  • Provide general support to walk-in visitors, and vendors/deliveries 
  • Processing incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries 
  • Coordinate with the Tech Team on all office equipment (e.g., software upgrades, repairs, etc.). 
  • Partner with ministries to manage flowers, gifts, and cards to congregants (e.g., funerals, celebration of life events). 
  • Other duties as assigned

Human Resources 

  • Recommend and update personnel policies (Staff Handbook) regularly. 
  • Assist hiring supervisors with position descriptions and job postings. 
  • Manage hiring process for candidates and hiring supervisors. 
  • Participate in the interviewing and screening process for potential new hires. 
  • Coordinate the staff member onboarding and offboarding processes (e.g., training for all aspects of office function: copiers, equipment, phones, processes, etc.) 
  • Track and celebrate staff birthdays and anniversaries (marital & employment). 
  • Administer employee benefits including proposing and implementing new benefits. 
  • Serve as liaison to all staff and their families for inquiries and assistance regarding benefits. 
  • Regularly work with the XP to competitively price employee benefits. 
  • Maintain all personnel files. 
  • Assist XP in administering yearly staff performance reviews. 
  • Administer staff engagement survey (every 2 years) and support staff survey (biannually).
