The UPS Store Manager helps run the day-to-day operations of The Northville UPS Store. He or she may be required to open and close the center, help manage productivity, and ensure the store’s team delivers outstanding service to all customers. The Store Manager is involved in continuous revenue improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management, and business development.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED (college coursework or a degree preferred), 3 years of retail store operations experience, strong supervisory/managerial/leadership skills, excellent computer/internet/software knowledge, the physical ability to perform this job (lifting, bending, etc.), and knows how to listen, follow processes, lead others, and help the Store attain defined targets. He or she must have a dynamic personality and must be able to help motivate a team to optimize performance.

Ideal candidate will have experience operating Point of Sale (POS) systems, and adept at using technology like computers and printers. Prior experience at Officemax/Office Depot, Staples and FEDEX Print Centers is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Perform day-to-day store operating activities and other duties as assigned

-Help with personnel management, which includes recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching associates

-Learn new processes and/or make meaningful recommendations to existing processes that will positively impact the business

-Able to operate all center equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others

-Manage Claims processing and help maximize customer satisfaction to walk-in customers and phone inquiries

-Manage demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience

-Take ownership of the customer’s shipping needs and offer viable solutions

-Take action to learn all product and service offerings and seeks out upsell opportunities to maximize average customer transaction amount

-Notarize documents at The UPS Store

-Help manage the Mailbox rentals and renewal on a monthly basis

-Help manage Store’s maintenance, including inventory, cleanliness, safety, and organization

-Help grow store revenues in all profit centers
