Industrial Technology Services of Chesterfield, MI is seeking Steel Field Installers to join our Steel Fabrication team. We are seeking individuals who are experienced in installing industrial structural steel products (e.g. catwalks, platforms, robot cages, cooler tower stands and more!)

Job Summary:

Responsible for the installation of projects that are produced by the fabricators in the shop.

Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Install steel structures to customer specifications
• Erect, fit and bolt or weld various steel structures
• Able to follow Industrial Technology Services policies and procedures and lead by example
• Diligent in ensuring a zero-accident philosophy is incorporated into all aspects of construction operations
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes
• Operating equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, and articulating lifts
• Strapping and rigging of equipment and materials

Job Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the custom metal manufacturing trade
• Must be able to read blueprints and engineered fabrication drawings
• Must be able to use fabrication tools such as drills, shears, presses and precision measuring tools
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Must have welding experience and proper certifications
• Must be able to read measurements and use basic math skills
• Current driver's license with a clean driving record

Physical requirements of the position

• Able to wear a safety harness and tools weighing up to 70 lbs
• Extensive walking through factory environment production areas
• Must have the ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
• Ability to lift and carry 75lbs., sit, bend, and stoop
• Ability to work from extreme heights
