Job SummaryThe Process Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of pharmaceutical products. This role requires a thorough understanding of process engineering principles, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.Key Responsibilities
  • Process Design and Development:
    • Design and develop manufacturing processes for new and existing pharmaceutical products.
    • Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
    • Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Process Optimization:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
    • Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
  • Validation and Compliance:
    • Develop and execute process validation protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all process-related activities.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead and manage process engineering projects from conception through implementation.
    • Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project completion.
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary equipment and services.
  • Technical Support and Training:
    • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff on new and existing processes.
    • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical industry.
    • Experience with process design, development, and optimization in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus, MATLAB).
    • Strong understanding of process control principles and methodologies.
    • Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
