- Process Design and Development:
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for new and existing pharmaceutical products.
- Conduct process simulations and feasibility studies to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Develop and implement process control strategies to ensure consistent product quality.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis of process deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
- Validation and Compliance:
- Develop and execute process validation protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all process-related activities.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage process engineering projects from conception through implementation.
- Develop project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to ensure successful project completion.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to procure necessary equipment and services.
- Technical Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing staff on new and existing processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in process engineering and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience with process design, development, and optimization in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in process simulation and modeling software (e.g., Aspen Plus, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of process control principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
