The JB Steel, Inc. is seeking to add a Structural Steel Estimator / Project Manager to our team. This position is located in the beautiful Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon.

Your workday might look like this

Involvement with pre-construction activities : construction planning and design; interpretation of design and drawings;

application of construction methods; bid packages

• Interpret designs and drawings; prepares takeoffs; researches and recommends resolutions to drawing interpretation problems, conflicts and errors
• Assemble construction financial data; monitors costs; tracks costs for force accounts
• Create correspondence to owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, etc.
• Checking contract documents, RFI's, specifications, etc. to ensure drawings are accurate
• Adhere to applicable building codes and company design standards.
• Assist fabricators with questions, as necessary.
• Some Structural steel detailing may also be required
• Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, values and goals
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

You need to have

• Bachelor's degree in a construction-related discipline from an accredited educational institution
• 5 years in the construction industry, preferably Design / Build and / or industrial and commercial construction
• 3 years of estimating / cost estimating management experience
• Excellent math, reading, writing, and communication skills with diverse audiences
• Highly organized and efficient time management
• Friendly personality and willing to work as part of a team
