Mandatory Qualifications

Mandatory Qualifications:

1. This Classification requires a minimum of five (5) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible experience applying PM principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been as a PM of one or more large or complex IT projects that are high-profile and fast-paced involving system interfaces, development of new system interfaces, and with CDT oversight.

2. Valid PMP certification from PMI.

3. Bachelor's degree from a reputed university.

4. Two (2) years of experience managing projects with California Department of Technology (CDT) oversight.

5. Two (2) years of experience working with an independent verification and validation consultant in large-scale systems development, integration, and/or operational projects.

6. Two (2) years of experience and knowledge utilizing CDT’s California Project Management Framework and the Project Approval Lifecycle.

7. Two (2) years of experience and knowledge of the software development life cycle for planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.

8. Experience using project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint) to run meetings, create project schedules, develop workflows, prepare presentations, and produce status reports.

9. Experience leading IT cross-functional project teams/resources in a matrixed environment, in all aspects of project management from initiation to closing.

Pay: $50.00 - $120.00 per hour
