Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and encourages critical thinking
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student performance and address any concerns
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification for 5th grade or equivalent (preferred)
- Proven experience as a 5th grade teacher or in a similar teaching role
- Strong knowledge and understanding of 5th grade curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to their academic and personal growth
- Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
