Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in a clinic setting, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care.
Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake and appropriate triage.
- Answer/Return Phone calls to the office.
- Provide medical administrative support including patient scheduling and record-keeping
- Perform basic life support measures when necessary
- Code and file patient medical records accurately (Availity experience a plus)
- Deliver exceptional patient service and ensure patient comfort
- Provide compassionate patient care in alignment with best practices
Experience:
Required Skills:
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting
- Proficiency in medical terminology
- Competency in medication administration / samples
- Familiarity with medical administrative tasks
- Basic life support certification
- Prior auths / Billing / Checking eligibility (Experience a must)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Billing/Coding experience
- Understanding of anatomy and physiology
- Prior experience in direct patient care
