BeeHive Homes of Edgewood is a small home-like assisted living facility in Edgewood, NM. At BeeHive Homes, your loved one's safety and wellbeing are our top objectives. We are always looking for individuals with a compassionate heart that finds satisfaction in serving others. Our caregivers are working in the home of our residents, and as such must be respectful and kind at all times.
Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to Residents in our community. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in assisting residents with daily activities, promoting their well-being, and ensuring their safety. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to residents in the Edgewood BeeHive Homes
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, toileting and dressing
- Administer medication and assist with medication management
- Assist with mealtime feeding if necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide companionship
- Monitor and report any changes in resident's condition or behavior
- Follow care plans and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support and promote independence for residents
Requirements:
- Must be over 18 years old to apply
- Prior experience in caregiving or related field preferred
- Knowledge of home care, memory care, or senior care practices is a plus
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with individuals of varying needs
- Must be able to pass a background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
