The Plant Health Care Manager is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the company's plant health care services. This position involves developing and implementing comprehensive programs aimed at maintaining and improving plant health, including pest and disease management, soil health, and fertilization strategies. 
The Plant Health Care Manager focuses on operational efficiency, data analysis, and educational outreach, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the company's plant health care services. Meeting sales and production goals is a key aspect of the role, and the manager will perform fieldwork as needed to reach these goals. Upselling services to enhance client value and revenue is another crucial responsibility, with the manager overseeing upselling targets to ensure these goals are met.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and support a team of plant health care specialists, providing regular training and performance evaluations.
• Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering expert advice and tailored solutions to ensure high satisfaction and retention.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure all plant health care practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly regarding pesticide use and environmental protection.
• Operational Efficiency: Streamline processes and remove obstacles to improve operational efficiency and client communication.
• Scheduling and Routing: Optimize service delivery through effective scheduling and routing of plant health care services.
• Sales and Production Goals: Meet sales and production targets, performing fieldwork as needed to achieve these goals or to fill in occasionally.
• Upselling Services: Upsell plant health care services to enhance client value and revenue, overseeing upselling targets to ensure goals are met.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze data related to plant health care services to track performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Educational Outreach: Conduct regular training sessions and educational workshops for both internal teams and clients, promoting best practices and new developments in plant health care.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for the plant health care division, ensuring cost-effective operations and profitability.
• Fieldwork: Perform fieldwork as needed to support the team, reach goals, or fill in during staff shortages.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3 years of post-high school education in Arboriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in plant health care, arboriculture, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in managing a team and leading plant health care programs.
• Pesticide Applicator’s License or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
• ISA Certified Arborist
