Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, provide patient care, and perform administrative tasks to ensure efficient dental office operations.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare patients for dental work, including obtaining and recording medical histories
- Hand instruments and materials to dentists during examinations and treatments
- Sterilize instruments and equipment
- Instruct patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Assist with dental x-rays and other medical imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records using Epic or similar systems
- Ensure compliance with medical documentation and HIPAA regulations
**Experience:**
- Anatomy knowledge
- CAD experience is a plus
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques
- Proficiency in taking vital signs
- Ability to conduct patient assessments effectively
- Experience with medical documentation and Epic systems preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
