Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join us in opening a brand new sandwich Deli located in Kahuku at the sugar mill. We will be opening at the begining of June. Interviews and training will begin the last week of May.

As a cashier, you will play a crucial role in helping to take orders from our customers. This position will be based in our kitchen and will involve working closely with our culinary team.

Responsibilities:

-Friendly customer service

-ability to work a P.O.S. and cash drawer
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food items
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing ones
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and storage
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred
- Knowledge of basic culinary techniques and knife skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
