Ponderosa Solutions seeks a Project Development Manager adept at transitioning projects from concept to operational success. As the primary project developer in our organization, you will closely collaborate with finance, operations, and EHS to ensure the viability and triumph of projects.

Position Title: Project Development Manager

Reporting Relationship: VP Operations

Location: Sapulpa, OK

Status: Full-Time, Exempt

Salary Range: $70K-$85K based on skills and experience

Position Summary: This role is crucial to our organization, serving as the bridge between sales and operations to ensure seamless project transitions. The project manager will oversee the progression of opportunities from inception to operational fruition. Responsibilities encompass evaluation, estimation, strategic alignment, financing, budgeting, timeline management, risk assessment, and execution.

• Work with customers and internal stake holders to scope and quote projects.
• Evaluate potential locations.
• Assess the financial impacts new projects will have on the business.
• Develop and manage project budgets.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Manage timelines and resource allocations.
• Maintain relationships with vendors.
• Conduct Project team meetings and weekly update calls.
• Assist legal with contract drafting and evaluation.
• Work with local governing bodies to ensure all regulatory requirements are completed.
• Maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders, providing regular status reports, and presentations.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, negotiate contracts, and resolve any disputes.
• Conducts self in an ethical and professional manner, projects a positive company image.
• Develop new processes and workflows for the Projects department.

Work Experience: 5 years of experience in project development.

• Oil and Gas related experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be proficient in communication tools, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Company/governmental operating and safety procedures / regulations
• Project financing and budget management

Position Requirements: Ponderosa Petroleum is looking for a self-starter with the drive and passion to succeed. Ability to work and make decisions independently.

• 25% travel with the ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions.
• Ability to travel outside the US.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
• TWIC card preferred. (Must be able to obtain one post hire)
• Ability to attend and pass all training associated with job related coursework. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, HazMat, HAZWOPER, and FRA related courses.

• While experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, a bachelor’s degree is typically a requirement for this role. Education specific to project/construction management, engineering, or related field of study is preferred.
