Sr. Systems Engineer

The Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of all IT systems and services.

Pay: $120 ,000-$140,000

Position Status: Exempt

Work Location: Livermore, CA

• System Administration:

o Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and system management tools.

o Monitor and maintain IT systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

o Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Network Management:

o Oversee the configuration and maintenance of network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

o Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable connectivity.

• Security Management:

o Implement and manage security measures to protect IT systems and data from unauthorized access, malware, and other threats.

o Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

o Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.

• Backup and Recovery:

o Develop and maintain backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.

o Perform regular backups and test recovery processes.

• Technical Support:

o Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

o Resolve technical problems promptly and effectively.

• System Upgrades and Maintenance:

o Plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance activities to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.

o Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed.

• Documentation and Reporting:

o Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.

o Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and other relevant metrics.

• Minimum of 6 years related experience or equivalent.

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Travel occasionally through-out regions required.

• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, in an ambiguous environment.

• Ability to work primarily in an office environment.

• Highly organized and detail oriented; able to manage priorities and workflow in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with superior level of professionalism.

• Ability to climb stairs multiple times a day and be able to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to sit, rise, kneel, squat, twist, pull bend multiple times a day.

• Ability to walk with items in hand, grasp and reach as needed.
