Receptionist/ Dental Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant who is cross trained to do Front office tasks and float from front to back in a supportive role, to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and digital dental x-rays
- maintain accurate patient records
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform patient assessments and document findings
- Administrative tasks such as phones, scheduling appointments, Insurance verification, collecting co-payments, patient intake forms, checking patients in and out for appointments
- Maintain infection control protocols and HIPAA protocols

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, dental procedures, and dental instruments
- Proficiency in computers and multi-line phone systems
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Experience with electronic health record systems (EagelSoft)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week
