Dock Street is seeking a motivated, thorough, friendly and professional Events Coordinator and Assistant Manager to book, coordinate, and execute events on-site and off, as well as seek new avenues of business, attract new events and bookings, and assist the GM in a very strong team environment.
Responsibilities

• Replying to event inquiries using Triple Seat email.
• Booking events collecting deposits/pre-payments
• Adding events event details to our internal calendars; making sure relevant parties are aware prepared in advance
• Communicating event details to BOH (Kitchen Manager) FOH staff in advance and day-of
• Helping set up and break down events
• Welcoming and directing guests
• Closing out party tabs, collecting balances
• Post-event communication with Upper Management including recap, feedback, improvements needed, etc.
• Planning public events such as ticketed workshops, beer releases, themed quizzo, markets/shopping events, etc. There is a lot of room for creativity here, and we welcome your ideas for new events!
• Having a teamwork mindset, knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your team and being able to delegate tasks effectively.
• Foster a strong team that is empowered to take an active role in the success of the company.
• Work with the executive chef to help maintain the events menu in line with industry trends and company standards.

Skills/Requirements

• 1 years of restaurant management experience in a high volume, excellence-driven environment.
• Strong work ethic and dedication to Dock Street’s operational standards as well as hospitality standards.
• Must be detail-oriented
• Experience planning running events
• Social Media content creation experience
• Experience with Tripleseat and Squarespace a plus.
• Beer cocktail knowledge are preferred
• iPhone Laptop
• Diplomacy when communicating with staff and upper management, ability to listen and learn from employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to lead a team and communicate efficiently, both verbally and in written communication and record keeping.
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Outstanding References.
