Under direction, the Marketing Associate assists the Director of Sales & Service to organize work activities and meet department deadlines related to research and marketing strategies. Gathers intelligence in local, regional, national, or online markets. Researches information to determine potential sales and assists in planning marketing or advertising campaigns. May gather information on competitors, prices, sales and methods of marketing and distribution. May employ search marketing tactics, analyze web metrics and develop recommendations to increase search engine ranking and visibility to target market. Creates and posts online content via multiple social media platforms.
Minimum Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related field preferred
• 2 years’ experience in government contracting, labor law, Service Contract Act and Davis Bacon compliance
• 2 years’ experience in creating and editing online and printed collateral material
• Microsoft Office suite, Salesforce and Database Administration
• Valid Texas Driver License
Typical Duties
• Researches and drafts content to be used on all social media and marketing platforms.
• Manages organizational based social media pages (Facebook & LinkedIn).
• Assists with, creating and designing graphic content to use for website, social media and other marketing materials.
• Uses social media, Constant Contacts and other marketing system reports to recommend changes to the effectiveness of social media and other marketing efforts and campaigns.
• Assists in generating creative ideas for Marketing and Development using social media, website and other marketing platforms.
• Creates draft marketing campaigns for Sales efforts using Constant Contacts and other marketing systems.
• Ensures compliance and alignment with brand integrity on all marketing materials, social media, website content and marketing campaigns.
• Maintains “Paid Sick Leave” Spreadsheet.
• Assists with Service Contract Act, Davis Bacon and labor law inquiries; drafts research and findings; provides explanation in writing and verbally.
• Monitors industry statistics and follows trends in trade literature.
• Devises and evaluates methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires; arranges to obtain existing data.
• Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
