Eventive Sports - Bruno Hospitality is Hiring an Events Operations Manager Near Birmingham, AL

Bruno Hospitality is seeking an experienced and passionate Events Operations Manager to join our team. The Events Operations Manager will work to oversee all operational aspects of concession operations. This position is a full-time salaried position and operates in a professional office environment in Birmingham, Alabama.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all event concession operations within locations of Barber Motorsports Park, Greystone Golf Club
  • Have superb knowledge and understanding of all Jefferson and Shelby County Health Department rules and regulations
  • Ability to manage business from P/L and meet set margins
  • Have good food/beverage presentation. Maintain and service equipment to the standards set. Keep up with current food trends in concessions locally, regionally and nationally
  • Develop and implement a strategic growth plan
  • Manage the day-to-day operations to include but not limited to: inventory control, equipment, equipment maintenance, staffing, major event planning and facility management
  • Maintain accurate cash handling procedures at all times
  • Be present during concession stand inspections by Jefferson and Shelby County Heath Departments
  • Keep a clean and organized concession stand, including storage spaces. Maintain high sanitation/hygiene expectations that meet or exceed Jefferson and Shelby County Health Department standards
  • Exhibit a high degree of customer service skills and positive attitude with staff and customers at all times
  • Manage, hire, instruct and train staff in food/beverage operations
  • Secure proper hire-in forms, including availability, for each concession attendant prior to first scheduled date of work
  • Generate and communicate work schedules for all concession attendant
  • Supervise and evaluate staff on a regular basis.
  • Review (and document) with concession stand attendants expectations
  • Other tasks as assigned by Assistant General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Passion for hospitality and client service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, negation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Square POS system or other POS system
  • Ability to work in standing position for long periods of time. Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds

SALARY & BENEFITS:

Salary pay will be commensurate with overall qualifications and experience. Bruno Hospitality benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance, 401(k) with match after waiting period (90 days), Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation.
