The 3rd-8th Grade Dean Of Instruction, Math & Science Will Provide Coaching, Leadership, And Professional Development To Support The Academic Program. This Person Will Be Especially Focused On Excellence In Math. Time Will Be Spent In The Following Ways
Teacher Support and Coaching (60%)

• Manage and coach 3rd-8th grade Math and STEM teachers
• Facilitate the intellectual and professional development of teachers
• Execute coaching sessions with their teachers as needed
• Encourage professional growth and provide organized, individual, or group learning opportunities for teachers

Curriculum Adoption and Technology Support (20%)

• Maintain knowledge of current instructional regulations and best practices
• Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data and culturally responsive practices
• Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum
• Support, implement, and assess various instructional programs and program effects on student achievement
• Instruct and support teachers with curriculum software products, and classroom/curriculum-related technologies

School Leadership (20%)

• Provide support to the Head of School and other members of the Instructional Leadership Team
• Participate in goal/plan setting and evaluation of teachers, as assigned
• Provide support in analyzing student assessment data

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning, required.
• Valid Louisiana credentials for Level I or Level II Teaching credential, required.
• Demonstrated success teaching students from educationally-underserved areas, required.
• At least four years of successful, full-time teaching experience in education, required.
• At least two years of coaching and leading adults, in a formal or informal setting, highly preferred.
• Prior experience with Eureka math curriculum, preferred.
