Crexendo is seeking a motivated and skilled IT Department Technician to provide exemplary IT customer service both remotely and in person. The successful candidate will leverage a broad array of technical support and troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware and software issues independently, escalating complex problems as necessary.
Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and resolve issues related to computer software, hardware, telephones, and services.
• Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and software.
• Maintain Active Directory and Office 365, including the creation of computer logins and user accounts.
• Address requests for adding, modifying, creating, and removing permissions.
• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment based on design or installation specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of user and system setups and installations.
• Utilize the service desk system to document communications and problem resolutions.
• Conduct computer diagnostics and research issues to provide technical assistance and resolve problems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in IT, Help Desk, and/or Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments.
• Certifications: Competency certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, etc., are a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to document processes and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision, prioritize tasks, and drive results.
• Passion for IT, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a self-directed approach to work.
• Understanding of time management and adherence to schedules.
• Ability to seize opportunities and proactively avoid potential problems.
