Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. In this role, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
- Promote independence and encourage participation in community activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities and progress
Requirements:
- Experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of resident rights and best practices in caregiving
- Childcare or nursing experience is a plus
- Ability to provide patient care with compassion and empathy
- Familiarity with nursing home, hospice care, or dementia care is beneficial
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
