The CAD operator is responsible to create, produce and revise electronic drawing files as required for all projects that are assigned to him/her by the Director of Engineering and/or Project Manager. The CAD operator will be responsible to create engineering drawings using CAD software, make corrections to drawings, work closely with the project engineer to ensure adherence to standards, reproduce drawings, and develop and implement CAD tools and standards. This position may require some traveling to project sites to assist the project engineer with field investigations for the purpose of drawing verification. The CAD operator is expected to function with multiple projects simultaneously. It is anticipated that the CAD operator duties will also include basic design activities.

Key Competency Areas
Technical Skills:

• Understands the architectural/engineering consulting business and design/ bid, or design/build documents.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD. Revit a plus. Gain experience in MS PowerPoint and MS Project

• The rational approach to the processes involved in identifying and defining the project goals and problems, selecting and implementing alternative solutions strategies, the management of resources and contingencies and reducing performance deviations.

• Good communications skills required to effectively coordinate work with team members.
