The Controller will be responsible for overseeing our accounting team and all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and make a significant impact on the organization's financial health.

Duties

- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures

- Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and GAAP

- Manage accounts receivable and account analysis

- Oversee payroll processing and ensure accuracy

- Implement and monitor internal controls, including SOX compliance

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making

- Collaborate with external auditors during audits

- Prepare financial record keeping

-Setting budgets and cutting costs

-Analyzing numbers and setting KPIS for teams to close books on time and staying up to date

Skills

- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and SOX regulations

- Experience in public accounting is preferred

- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Netsuite, Sage, and additional accounting software

- Excellent financial acumen and understanding of key financial concepts

- Ability to analyze accounts and identify discrepancies

- Familiarity with payroll processes and systems

-Big on Leadership and Communication skills

-Bilingual in Spanish and English required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 5 - 7 years of related experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal and collaboration skills
